Cody Burcher is one of our newest staff members. At 17 years of age, he has recently completed his HSC and now started a cadetship with Thrive Advice. In his free time, he is an up-and-coming superstar in the Australian Motorsport scene.
Cody started his journey with motorsport when he was 4 years old. His father introduced Cody to a local remote-control car track. He was hooked, he raced remote control cars up until the age of 7. Then at 7 years old, Cody had his first taste of some real motorsport in a Go-Kart. That was enough for young Cody, he had found his calling. Racing at club-level meets for the next 18 months until he moved to interstate racing. Over the next two years, Cody was noticed to have a flair for the tracks and moved into National Level events bringing immediate success becoming NSW State Champion and 3rd in Australia by the age of 14. For 2018 he stepped up into Formula Ford. He has achieved multiple race wins and many more to come as one of the main contenders for the Championship.
In 2020 the competition was put on hold due to COVID-19 and border restrictions. Come 2021 and the competition is back on! Cody is one of the main title contenders in the Australian Formula Ford Series Championship. The Australian Formula Ford Series has been known as the breeding ground for 90% of today’s V8 Supercars Drivers! Good chance we will see Cody race on the mountain in the future.
Cody has also found another calling and that’s accounting. He has always enjoyed working with numbers and data. We are excited that Cody has come on board with the team at Thrive Advice and we look forward to working with him and hear the tales of his motorsport journey.
