We go back a long way…
1944
CKC Accountants founded
Based in Orange, we started out as a firm eight decades ago! We think that makes us ‘established’!
From our humble beginnings in the mid 1940s to now, our town and technology has changed but the values and ethics have stayed the same.
Before the merger with Mike Crowley & Associates, we opened a second office in Canowindra, in July 2017. Our focus also shifted away from just accounting to include business services, tax, self-managed super funds, and wealth management.
Partners Matthew Wren and Andrew Miller are from the CKC side of the business.
1991
Mike Crowley and Associates established
Mike Crowley formed the company after completing his financial qualifications and gaining extensive accounting and business experience working with small to medium businesses in regional areas.
We occupied an office just down the street from CKC, in Orange.
Adrian Acheson joined us in 2008 and became a partner in 2016. Our focus became providing solid business strategies and trusted advisory services to small and medium businesses in the region, in addition to the tax strategies and accounting services we’d always provided.
Mike Crowley & Associates also provided retirement planning services and self-managed superannuation funds as part of their service offerings.
2019
We became one…
Recently, the four partners from CKC and MCA came to the realisation that our practices were very similar; we also worked from the same high ethical and moral codes with clients.
So we decided to become one.
In doing so, we’re stronger for the future; scaling up with the resources to deliver what people ask of us in the years ahead: able to attract and retain the best business and accounting talent in the area and remain growth-focused to attract and retain our clients.
…but we also focus on the future
We may have 50 years of accounting and business advisory experience between the partners and a firm history that goes back eight decades but we’re anything but traditionalists.
In fact, we love to look to the future, embracing best-practice technology and priding ourselves on ‘breaking the mould’ with accountants.
To us, it’s never just about the numbers. Business has always been, and will always be, about relationships.
That’s why we spend time building them.
Close partnerships are the key to providing solutions that genuinely work for our clients, as we get to know not only their businesses but their aspirations, dreams, and what’s most important to them.
